realme lists it as a Dynamic Button model. It shares RMX3933 with the realme Note 60 and the Indian C61 (Wikipedia's realme product list). realme's spec page names only "realme UI" (Android 14), so screen-off gesture support is not confirmed and not listed.

Gestures on the realme narzo N61

Double-press the power button

DocumentedInput: Side key

Requires: Only models realme lists for Dynamic Button (2024 and later budget and mid-range models)

Set it up

  1. Settings
  2. Special features
  3. Dynamic Button
  4. Double-press Power button
  5. Open an app
  6. Quick signal: side key

Turn on the Dynamic Button switch and the switch next to Double-press Power button. Open an app replaces the other double-press choices (sound mode, camera, timer, Snap Cards, Do Not Disturb, Riding mode, Airplane mode, flashlight, Clean up). Press and hold stays on Power menu or Voice Assistant. realme's supported list: realme 12x 5G, 12 5G, C61, C63, NARZO N61, C63 5G, 13+ 5G, 13 5G, NARZO 70 Turbo 5G, P1 Speed 5G, NARZO 70x, C65 5G, 14x 5G, P3x 5G, NARZO 80x 5G, C75 5G, C73 5G, NARZO 80 Lite 5G, C71 4G, P3 Lite 5G, 15 Lite 5G, P4 Lite 4G, Note 80. realme does not say which software version adds it. Pressing the power button 5 times in quick succession opens the emergency call screen (and calls automatically when Emergency SOS is on), so keep recipes below 5 presses. Behaviour with the screen off or locked is not documented.

Double-tap the power button (touch it twice without pressing)

DocumentedInput: Side key

Requires: Only models realme lists for Dynamic Button (2024 and later budget and mid-range models)

Set it up

  1. Settings
  2. Special features
  3. Dynamic Button
  4. Double-tap Power button
  5. Open an app
  6. Quick signal: side key

Turn on the Dynamic Button switch and the switch next to Double-tap Power button. Same supported models and choices as the double press (minus Snap Cards). A light touch on the power button is enough, so gripping the phone or pocket contact can trigger it more easily than a double press; prefer the double press for recipes. If both are mapped to our entry, both arrive as side_key events. Behaviour with the screen off or locked is not documented.

Recommended presets

  • Shake ×3Sends a signal

Three sharp shakes within 2.5 s: hard to do by accident, easy to do without looking.

    Shake ×3, 0.15–1 s apart · whole gesture within 2.5 s

  • Widget ×2Sends a signal

Two taps on the home-screen widget within 3 s; a single accidental tap does nothing.

    Widget ×2, 0.1–3 s apart · whole gesture within 3 s

  • Power button double press ×2Sends a signal

Two separate double presses (four presses in all) with a short pause; stays below the five rapid presses that open the emergency call screen.

    Side key ×2, 0.8–4 s apart · whole gesture within 6 s

  • Power button double press, then shake ×2Sends a signal

One double press confirmed by two sharp shakes; the camera-style habit of double-pressing alone cannot fire it.

    Side key ×1 → then within 8 s: Shake ×2, 0.3–1.5 s apart · whole gesture within 12 s

Gestures are set up in the phone settings as shown, then combined into a trigger recipe in the app, where practice mode shows step by step whether a gesture would trigger.
