Gestures on the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS

Press the function button (lower right) once

ReportedInput: Watch button

Requires: TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, Pro 3 Ultra GPS or E3 on Wear OS 3 with Mobvoi's February 2024 update (build RMRB.240228.002 or RMKB.240228.004) or later

Set it up

  1. DBP Shield watch app: Button shortcut on
  2. Settings
  3. Personalization
  4. Customize Hardware Button
  5. Bottom Right
  6. Quick signal

Mobvoi's help: a single click on the function button opens the sports app and can be customized to any app in Settings › Personalization › Customize Hardware Button › Bottom Right; double-click opens Google Pay and long press opens the power menu, so leave a pause between presses. That page describes the Wear OS 2 software. Mobvoi's first Wear OS 3 build lacked the setting; its February 2024 update log (RMRB.240228.002 for the Pro 3 GPS models, RMKB.240228.004 for the E3) says it introduced function key customization, per press reports. On Wear OS 3 the menu may instead be Settings › Advanced features › Customize keys (Google's Wear OS 3 help). Not reported for the Pro 3 LTE or Pro 3 Ultra (LTE).

Plus what the app offers on every Wear OS watch: Watch (hold to fire). How to set those up

Recommended presets

  • Function button ×3Sends a signal

Three single presses of the function button within 12 s. Leave about a second between presses: a quick double press opens Google Pay instead.

    Watch button ×3, 0.8–4 s apart · whole gesture within 12 s

  • Function button, then hold in the watch appSends a signal

One press of the function button, then the 2-second hold in the DBP Shield watch app within 15 s: two different inputs, so neither a bumped button nor a stray touch fires alone.

    Watch button ×1 → then within 15 s: Watch (hold to fire) ×1 · whole gesture within 20 s

Gestures are set up in the phone settings as shown, then combined into a trigger recipe in the app, where practice mode shows step by step whether a gesture would trigger.
