LG's G8 ThinQ user guide: while the Home screen or an app is shown, a swipe left or right in the air opens the app chosen under Swipe left or Swipe right, and a pinch with all fingers takes a screenshot instead. One oem_key event means one complete palm, cup and swipe sequence, and it needs the screen on. LG notes that Air Motion may not work in some apps, that the ToF sensor and IR illuminator must not be covered, that the hand must not move too fast or too far away, and that gloves or direct sunlight lower recognition. Some carrier versions of the manual put the menu under Settings > General > Air Motion. The Shortcuts keys on this phone are fixed: a double press of the power key or Volume Down opens only the camera, a double press of Volume Up opens only Capture+, and the Google Assistant key opens only Google Assistant or Google Lens.
