Gestures on the Infinix Hot 60 Pro+

Double-press the One-Tap AI Button

ReportedInput: Extra key

Requires: Infinix Hot 60 5G, Hot 60 Pro or Hot 60 Pro+ (One-Tap AI Button hardware) on XOS 15 (Android 15)

Set it up

  1. Settings
  2. One-Tap Button
  3. Double Press
  4. Quick signal: key

The Double Press action can be set to open any app, or to jump into a section of some apps. Long Press opens the Folax assistant by default and can also be reassigned. Single press runs context-aware actions. Menu labels come from a tech-press how-to (Naija Android Arena), not an Infinix page. Coverage differs on which presses can be customised: pre-launch reports name single, double and long press, while Gizmochina's launch report names double and long press only. The Hot 60i has no One-Tap button. Our sources do not say whether a chosen app opens over the lock screen or waits for unlock.

Draw one of the designated letters on the screen while it is off

DocumentedInput: Screen-off gesture

Requires: XOS 13 or later (Infinix documents it among the XOS 13 features)

Set it up

  1. Settings
  2. Search for "Quick Start"
  3. Assign one of the letters to an app
  4. Quick signal: gesture

Infinix's XOS page lists 'Quick Start': 'Quick launch apps by drawing designated letters on the off screen. You can also customize which apps can be opened this way.' TechGenyz (April 2026) says XOS can open apps by drawing letters even while the phone is locked. Our sources give neither the menu location nor the list of letters, so the steps use Settings search. Older XOS versions had reassignable letter gestures, but our sources for that are from 2015 to 2020. Whether our entry opens over a secure lock screen is not confirmed. The gesture only works with the screen off, so drawing it again requires locking the screen first. It is not linked to Smart-series phones (entry models, some on Android Go edition), because no source covers them.

Recommended presets

  • Shake ×3Sends a signal

Three sharp shakes within 2.5 s: hard to do by accident, easy to do without looking.

    Shake ×3, 0.15–1 s apart · whole gesture within 2.5 s

  • Widget ×2Sends a signal

Two taps on the home-screen widget within 3 s; a single accidental tap does nothing.

    Widget ×2, 0.1–3 s apart · whole gesture within 3 s

  • One-Tap AI Button ×3Sends a signal

Three separate double presses of a dedicated side key within 10 seconds is a deliberate pattern that bumps in a pocket or bag rarely produce.

    Extra key ×3, 0.3–3 s apart · whole gesture within 10 s

  • Letter gesture + shake ×2Sends a signal

A letter drawn on the dark screen must be followed by two sharp shakes, so neither a stray touch in a pocket nor a bump fires on its own.

    Screen-off gesture ×1 → then within 8 s: Shake ×2, 0.3–2 s apart · whole gesture within 12 s

Gestures are set up in the phone settings as shown, then combined into a trigger recipe in the app, where practice mode shows step by step whether a gesture would trigger.
