Ships with HarmonyOS 2.0 (China PAL-AL00) / EMUI 12 (global). The China model (PAL-AL00) shipped an Android-compatible HarmonyOS; after an upgrade to HarmonyOS NEXT (5 or later) Android apps no longer run. No Google Mobile Services (Huawei Mobile Services and AppGallery instead): the Android-based OS may still run our APK, but Google Assistant routines (android-voice) are not available. No built-in gesture or key opens a chosen app: knuckle gestures (where present) only take screenshots or record the screen, and double-pressing Volume down only takes a photo or opens the camera. China (PAL-AL00) launched 2022-04.

Recommended presets

  • Shake ×3Sends a signal

Three sharp shakes within 2.5 s: hard to do by accident, easy to do without looking.

    Shake ×3, 0.15–1 s apart · whole gesture within 2.5 s

  • Widget ×2Sends a signal

Two taps on the home-screen widget within 3 s; a single accidental tap does nothing.

    Widget ×2, 0.1–3 s apart · whole gesture within 3 s

Gestures are set up in the phone settings as shown, then combined into a trigger recipe in the app, where practice mode shows step by step whether a gesture would trigger.
