No built-in gesture or key opens a chosen app on EMUI 10 / Magic UI 3: knuckle gestures (where present) only take screenshots, record the screen or split the screen, and double-pressing Volume down only takes a photo. PCT-AL10 and PCT-TL10 are the China model, sold as the Honor V20. Release month is the China launch; global sales began 2019-01.
