Gestures on the ROG Phone 3 (ZS661KS)

Squeeze the lower part of the frame (Short squeeze or Long squeeze) while holding the phone upright

DocumentedInput: Extra key

Requires: ROG Phone II or ROG Phone 3 with AirTriggers turned on

Set it up

  1. Settings
  2. Advanced
  3. AirTriggers
  4. Short squeeze (or Long squeeze)
  5. Quick signal: key

The ROG Phone II and ROG Phone 3 user manuals say Short squeeze or Long squeeze can launch an app you choose: turn on AirTriggers, slide Short squeeze or Long squeeze to ON, tap it and select the app. Asus's AirTriggers FAQ says this system squeeze is triggered by squeeze force along the lower part of the frame with the phone held in portrait. Squeeze force level sets how hard you must squeeze; the manuals note that a lower level is easier to trigger, so raise it if the phone fires in a pocket or bag. The manuals do not say whether a squeeze works with the screen off or locked, so test it. The gaming AirTriggers (shoulder buttons) are set per game in Armoury Crate or Game Genie and are not used here. The manuals of later ROG Phones do not describe the squeeze shortcut.
